Itinerary

Day 1: Set Sail from Vancouver
Transfer to the Spirit of Oceanus. Sail under the Lion’s Gate Bridge as your panoramic cruise begins. (D)

Day 2: Cruising British Columbia
Over the next two  days you will see waterways lined by the evergreen wilderness of the Great Bear Rainforest. These nutrient-rich waters are home to whales and porpoise. Come face-to-face with First Nations culture in one of their remote villages on British Columbia’s coast. (BLD)

Day 3: Cruising British Columbia
A second day of  cruising British Columbia. (BLD)

Day 4: Misty Fjords and Metlakatla
The dramatic granite cliffs of Misty Fjords are your entrance to Alaska through spectacular Behm Canal, a glacially-carved fjord. National Forest Service Kayak Rangers will join you onboard to offer area insights. The Tsimshian community of Metlakatla  greets you with a dance performance at their tribal long house. Harriman stopped here to visit a missionary settlement. (BLD)

Day 5: Petersburg
Winding  Wrangell Narrows leads to the Norwegian-founded fishing village of Petersburg,  where you will be treated to coffee and a folk dance. (BLD)

Day 6: Tracy Arm and Frederick Sound
Cruise up Tracy  Arm to the twin Sawyer Glaciers, where steep granite cliffs line waters choked  with icebergs. Search the waters for humpback and orca whales, seals, sea lions and porpoise in Frederick Sound. You may spend time anchored in a secluded cove. (BLD)

Day 7: Skagway
Relive the Gold Rush in the  picture-perfect setting of Skagway, the starting place for many early gold  seekers. This is the home of the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway. (BLD)

Day 8: Glacier Bay
Enjoy a majestic excursion into  Glacier Bay National Park, looking for wildlife and glacier activity in remote bays. A Park Service Ranger joins you onboard to help spot wildlife. (BLD)

Day 9: Sitka
Breathtaking waterways lead to this  one-time capital of Russian America, full of historical art and artifacts.  Stroll the totem-lined forest trail at Sitka National Historic Park. (BLD)

Day 10: Hubbard Glacier
View the Hubbard Glacier which stretches 76 miles and is the longest tidewater glacier in Alaska, with an open calving face over 6 miles wide. (BLD)

Day 11: Prince William Sound
Watch for puffins, orcas, seals, and sea lions along the shores of these remote and spectacular secluded wild-life rich islands and iceberg-filled fjords in rarely visited Prince William Sound. (BLD)

Day 12: Whittier to Anchorage
Located at the head of Passage Canal, you will disembark in Whittier and transfer to Anchorage for your return flight home. (B)
